5 KADINLAR DENIZI
(Ladies Beach) Kadınlar Denizi eclipses Kuşadası town's small artificial beach, although
it gets very crowded with package tourists from the big nearby hotels. It's 2.5km south
of town, served by regular dolmuşes. Further south are several small beaches, again
backed by big hotels.
Sleeping & Eating
Popular bases on the two peninsulas are Eski (Old) Datça, the capital of an Ottoman dis-
trict stretching into today's Greece, with cobbled streets and old stone houses; and
Bozburun, a rustic farming-and-fishing village on Sömbeki Körfezi (Sömbeki Bay), an
agreeable spot where only a little tourism has arrived.
