don trades a little on its reputation - and it's far from good value - but the mezes like oc-
topus in oregano and baked sardines are worth the snobby service. The house speciality is
tuzda balık (fish baked in a block of salt that's broken at your table; suitable for three or
four people).

humble eatery that fills with local workers during the week and a relaxed drop-in crowd
on weekends. It's a traditional 'point-and-pick' joint with loads of meat, rice and veget-
able dishes.

cafes, this is one of the best, serving dozens of teas, hot and cold coffees, good salads and
pastas. There's shady seating outside. There's a second branch behind the Swissotel.

huge menu, with steak, sushi and pizza highly recommended by our table. It's a great
place for a lazy cocktail ( " 20) or midshop coffee by the water's edge. Service is excellent.
