should treat the Konak Saray Hotel as the best opportunity to stay in a beautifully restored
old Ottoman house in İzmir. It's located in a less touristy part of the bazaar and the
inward-facing small rooms are modern (minibars, plasma screens) and well priced.
There's also a great top-floor restaurant. A more-expensive second branch, popular with
tour groups, occupies a renovated Ottoman home high above the Agora.

choices, the Good İzmir is friendly, safe and terribly convenient for bus and train access.
The rooms are nothing special - avoid the small and damp few - but it's good value for
money at the low end.
