Eceabat, some 200m off the İstanbul highway.
Getting There & Around
With your own transport, you can easily tour the northern battlefields in a day. Covering
both the northern and southern parts of the peninsula is possible within one day, provided
you get an early start. The most important group of monuments and cemeteries, from
Lone Pine uphill to Chunuk Bair in the northern peninsula, can be toured on foot.
Bus & Dolmuş
Daily dolmuşes (minibuses; several in summer) connect Eceabat and Kabatepe ( " 2.50, 15
minutes), and can drop you at the Kabatepe Information Centre & Museum.
Dolmuşes frequently run between Eceabat and Kilitbahir ( " 1.50, 10 minutes).
Other services to/from Eceabat include Gelibolu ( " 5, 50 minutes, hourly) and İstanbul
( " 40, five hours, hourly).
