Beaches
Turkey's plajlar (beaches) are world-famous, offering a reliable summer mix of sun, sand
and azure waters. Heading the list are beauties such as Kaputaş ( Click here ) , a tiny cove
with dazzling shallows, and Patara ( Click here ) , Turkey's longest beach. Many of the
finest Mediterranean beaches are on the ruin-dotted Teke peninsula and linked by the Ly-
cian Way footpath. Other stretches of sand are pleasingly remote - the Aegean isle of
Bozcaada ( Click here ) has a string of quiet beaches, offering undemanding activities such
as trying the local dondurma (ice cream).
