Behramkale & Assos
Sandwiched between a blue bay and miles of undulating Aegean countryside, this hilltop
village and harbour ( Click here ) offer a combination of ruins and relaxation. Having ad-
mired the view from the 6th-century BC Greek temple, wander down Behramkale's
cobbled streets and past the hillside ruins to Assos, where fish restaurants await. As
Behramkale's statue of Aristotle suggests, the famous philosopher lived here in the 4th cen-
tury BC.
