TWO DAYS
On day one, follow our walking tour and then relax in Sultanahmet's
çay bahçesis
. For dinner, head over the
Gal-
ata Bridge
to the modern side of town,
Beyoğlu
.
Day two should be devoted to
Topkapı Palace
and the Bosphorus. Spend the morning at the palace, then board
one of the private excursion boats at Eminönü for a
Bosphorus cruise
. Afterwards, walk up through Galata to
İstiklal Caddesi
, have a drink at a rooftop bar and enjoy dinner at a
meyhane
.
FOUR DAYS
On your third day visit the
İstanbul Archaeology Museums
or
Museum of Turkish & Islamic Arts
in the morn-
ing and the
Süleymaniye Mosque
in the afternoon. For dinner, sample the succulent
kebaps
at Hamdi Restaurant or
Zübeyir Ocakbaşı.
On day four, descend to the
Basilica Cistern
's dank depths, before heading to the Golden Horn (Haliç) to ex-
plore the
Spice Bazaar
and
Rüstem Paşa Mosque
. Back in Sultanahmet, shop for souvenirs at the
Arasta Bazaar
before hitting
Beyoğlu
's bar, restaurant and club scenes.
