Mobile Anti-Virus and You
Just because you're on a mobile phone doesn't mean you don't need to consider the possibil-
ity of downloading malicious software. While Google does it's best to eliminate rule break-
ing and harmful products from its app store, it's still a good idea to have extra protection
against damaging application installs and viruses encountered through mobile browsing as
well. The better mobile anti-virus applications also automatically warn you about applica-
tions with annoying push advertisements.
Personally I use Comodo Mobile Security though just like with Windows there are many
professional anti-virus programs that get the job done well. If you're wanting to see a great
direct comparison, then check out this list of the Top 5 Android Security Apps by Simon
Hill at Digital Trends. A good rule of the thumb is that companies that have well known
Windows anti-virus software also make good mobile anti-virus and security suites.
