Other Recent Startup Providers
It's been a recent trend that many of these new small company providers have popped up
around the scene. In some cases, they do not have the same coverage maps as the big guys
and in many cases they have an agreement to tap into the exact same network like Spring
in the case of Republic wireless. One thing to note is that in many cases, these companies
are currently localized to one country and don't typically have international data offerings.
What you gain by using these services is highly competitive pricing on both your data plan
and your phone itself. In my mind, price is a huge deal when it comes to your phones since
nobody wants to be the guy with a $100+ dollar a month phone bill. If Republic Wireless
or Simple Mobile don't do it for you, then I would recommend checking out the hordes of
other small guys out there.
