Running on Sprint's data network, they charge significantly less for their monthly no-con-
tract plan than the typical provider. Republic cuts costs by encouraging users to use WiFi
whenever possible and having their own custom software that seamlessly switches between
WiFi and 3g as you move around. They offer phone and texting at $10 a month, with 3g at
$25, and 4g at $40 per month. However, you cannot make international calls within the ser-
vice and you need to use their phones which are offered at very reasonable prices. Wireless
data is offered as unlimited, though according to

speeds if the service is abused at over 5gb of data per month. One very nice thing about their
service is that you can easily switch between plans through the republic wireless cellphone
app up to twice a month with a few clicks. This can be particularly helpful if you foresee
yourself moving around a lot within the USA in future months but are normally within a
WiFi network in your day to day activities.
