Technology Management Solution
management, data quality management, and, finally, policy and procedural
management. Architecture management includes, but is not limited to, the
design of technology solutions, network management solutions, and data-
base solutions. Within this technical architecture, changes will be made
that affect data and systems designs based on the policymaking process,
business growth, and regulatory changes. As such, an appropriate process
to make these changes must be instituted through a change management
committee and policy. While the data governance committee many not
necessarily be the same committee that approves systems and software
changes, the committee must be aware of the changes and modify policies
and processes accordingly. These functions will allow the data governance
committee to effectively manage technology within the organization.
