There can be no better place to swim than the Caruso's sensational
infinity pool. Seemingly set on the edge of a precipice, its blue waters merge with sea and
sky to magical effect. Inside, the sublimely restored 11th-century
palazzo
is no less im-
pressive, with Moorish arches doubling as window frames, 15th-century vaulted ceilings
and high-class ceramics. Rooms are suitably mod-conned.
