Sant'Antonino
( 14 Feb) The city's patron saint, Sant' Antonino, is remembered annually with proces-
sions and huge markets. The saint is credited with having saved Sorrento during WWII
when Salerno and Naples were heavily bombed.

Settimana Santa
(Holy Week) Sorrento's Settimana Santa Easter processions are famous throughout Italy.
There are two main processions: one at midnight on the Thursday preceding Good Friday,
the second on Good Friday.
