This interactive museum has
a collection of over 600
taiko
(drums) from all over the world.
The highlight are the Japanese
festival drums. Skins with a blue
sticker can be played, but with
care, while those with a red mark
cannot be touched. A stickerless
drum can be played freely.

Kite Museum
Over 2,000 kites, shaped
variously as squids, Sumo
wrestlers, and Mount Fuji, are
displayed here. Some are illus-
trated with the faces of manga
characters, samurai warriors,
and Kabuki actors

Bemused hammerhead
sharks and green turtles stare
out from the tanks at visitors,
and there is a dolphin show kids
will adore. A long water tunnel
leads under the paths of

section with a playhouse, fully-

frames, the castle sets aside a
floor for music and instruments.
The roof has unicycles,
carts, and a jungle gym.
