ilies of the Renaissance commissioned plenty of portraits. Cosimo I de' Medici's favourite por-
trait painter was Agnolo di Cosimo (1503-72), called Bronzino because of his dark complexion.
Look for his Medici portraits in the Uffizi, Florence.
