on the rear dining space, where simple meals (€34) are served. Enjoy a local artisanal beer
(Saverio recommends 'La Tipografica') or a glass of vino (everything from local drops to
fashionable Super Tuscans).

May) The interior of the town's best-loved cafe has hardly changed over the decades, and
neither have its opening hours (staff close the doors for three hours to go home for lunch
with their families). A bag of the aromatic house blend - roasted on si te - is an essential
weekly purchase for most locals.

(Via Niccolò Aggiunti 42; 4-8pm Mon, 9am-1pm & 4-8pm Tue-Sat) Sansepolcro is known for the
quality of its handmade linen lace, and this shop is the best place to purchase it. Afficion-
ados should also visit the Spazio del Merletto (Lace Space; Piazza Garibaldi 2) , where genera-
tions of local women have gathered to learn and practice the art of lacemaking - if you're
lucky, one of the ladies will show you their small museum.
