near the

and four immaculately maintained and well-equipped rooms. Opt for the
superior or prestige room if possible, as the standard versions are slightly cramped. No

The aromas emanating from the kitchen door off Via
Zuccarelli should be enough to draw you down the stairs and into the cosy dining rooms,
which are carved out of tufa. Chef Domenico Pichini offers two menus - one traditional
and one modern - and all of his creations rely heavily on local produce for inspiration. It's
near Piccola Gerusalemme.

Nestled in the shadow of the town's Baroque
duomo,
Ceccottino subscribes to both the Slow Food philosophy and the Km0 movement.
It specialises in beef from certified local Chianina and Maremmana cows, but there are
also excellent vegetarian options (especially pasta) on offer. Tables on the piazza are hotly
contested during summer.
