Head uphill from Suvereto's main street along Via Piave to this creative osteria with an
appealing mix of old and new furnishings, a beautiful terrace facing the exquisite red-
brick Palazzo Comunale (town hall), and a menu squared firmly at foodies - the 12 differ-
ent sugar types served after dinner with coffee says it all.

Fabulous Le Nuvole is one of Tuscany's fast-rising culinary stars. Talented chef Timothy
Magee, a particular ace at gelato and anything to do with chocolate, cooks up a modern
Tuscan cuisine - lots of fish - in the kitchen of this lovely boutique restaurant, while som-
melier Cristina works the outstanding wine list.

Enoteca dei Difficili
(Via San Leonardo 2; 6pm-2am Mon, Tue & Thu, to 3am Fri-Sun) This is a spirited spot with
brick-and-beam ceiling, stylish vintage chairs and a blockbuster selection of wines. The
wine bar has live music (check its Facebook page to see what bands are playing) and
serves crostini, panini, bruschetta and various €10 taglieri (tasting platters of wild boar,
salami, cheese etc).

Golfo di Baratti
The drive from San Vincenzo to pretty waterside Baratti in the Baratti Gulf is a dead-
straight 12km motor south along an avenue lined by sky-high parasol pines backing onto
beautiful sandy beaches. Baratti itself is a gorgeous little fishing port with a couple of
lovely restaurants.
