This museum-gallery inside the former Palazzo del Tau is devoted to Pis-
toia's most famous modern son, eponymous sculptor and painter Marino Marini
(1901-80). Dozens of his drawings and paintings - mainly of female nudes and horses -
hang here.
But the museum's real highlight is
Cappella del Tau
, the tiny 14th-century chapel, fres-
coed from head to toe and guardian of several Marini sculptures.
The Miracle
(1952) -
bronze, monumental and one of dozens of equestrian works by the artist - takes centre
stage.
