order rate constant, v f is the l ow rate (in L/min), and P is the power (in kW). Because time is
directly proportional to the power used to operate the Photo-Cat system, l ow in liters per minute
is divided by power in kilowatts, giving units of (L/min)/kW for the i rst-order rate constant in
Equation 8.1.
