While it's perfectly normal to order 'a
biscotti
' or 'a
cannoli
' back home in London or New York, note that these
are actually plural forms in Italian; use the singular form '
un biscotto
' or '
un cannolo
' while in Sicily - unless of
course you truly want a pile of them!
