lending an exotic Arabian Nights feel, the views from this historic five-star are magnifi-

room in Sicily.

( 0922 51 10 61; www.bagliodellaluna.com ; Contrada Maddalusa; s €140-210, d €170-250) This handsome
converted baglio (manor house) has rooms that are somewhat old and tired, though the
location and the magnificent garden make up for what's lacking in freshness. Il Déhors,
the hotel restaurant, is rated as one of the best in Sicily. It is a little tricky to find, but
check the website for exact directions.
