Meals featuring local produce are served downstairs in a large dining room with vaulted
ceilings. In late summer they still make homemade tomato sauce in a giant copper

Fiumara d'Arte project, this utterly whimsical hotel at the water's edge has 22 'art rooms'
conceptualised and realised by Italian and international artists between 1990 and 2013.
There are also 18 standard rooms, all with original artworks and many with sea views.

The entire hotel is treated like an art project, with tours offered Saturdays and Sundays
at noon (free for guests, €5 for non-guests). Guests who stay longer than one night are in-
vited to change rooms as often as they like to get an intimate perspective on multiple
artists' work.

octogenarian retired vascular surgeon, this agriturismo in Ucria (on the road to Floresta)
offers high-ceilinged rooms with sweeping sea and valley views in an old stone building
surrounded by hazelnut orchards. The fabulous dinners feature locally sourced seasonal
treats such as battered and delicately fried sage leaves, wild asparagus risotto or pasta with
hazelnuts, bacon and anchovies.
