Getting There & Around
BUS
The bus is the best way to reach Enna by public transport. Enna's bus station (Viale Diaz) is in
the upper town: to get to the town centre from there, turn right and follow Viale Diaz to
Corso Sicilia, turn right again and follow it to Via Sant'Agata, which leads to Via Roma,
Enna Alta's main street. Service is more frequent from the stop in Enna Bassa, 3km down-
hill. Hourly local buses connect Enna Bassa with the upper town, except on Sundays
when it's every two hours.
SAIS ( 093 550 09 02; www.saisautolinee.it ) runs services to Catania (€7.50, 1¼ hours, 10
daily Monday to Friday, seven Saturday) and Palermo (€10, 1¾ hours, up to seven daily
Monday to Friday, four Saturday). For Agrigento change at Caltanissetta (€4.20, one hour,
six daily Monday to Friday, four Saturday). Regular buses also run to Piazza Armerina
(€3.30, 30 minutes, nine daily Monday to Friday, five Saturday). Services to all destina-
tions are drastically reduced on Sundays.
CAR
Enna is on the main Catania-Palermo A19 autostrada, about 83km from Catania, 135km
from Palermo.
