(Via Roma) On the southwestern side of Piazza Colaianni next to the Grande Albergo Sicilia,
is this Catalan-Gothic palazzo , one of Enna's most handsome buildings. Although it has
been converted into private apartments, you can still nip in to take a peek at the medieval
staircase in the central courtyard.

Lago Di Pergusa
Surrounded by woodland about 9km south of town is one of Sicily's few natural lakes. It's
a popular summer hang-out with some sandy beaches, a number of big resort-style hotels
and an unlikely motor-racing circuit, but out of season it's a rather forlorn place offering
little reason to linger.
Certainly, there is nothing to connect it to the mythical tale of Persephone, for which
it's so famous.
To get to the lake, take local bus 5 from the bus stop on Via Pergusa. By car it's sign-
posted along the SS561.
