French, Spanish, Scandinavian and Italian designer clothes and toys. There are the quirky
and charming Bobo Choses clothes, sewn Danish toys (a fabric castle or spaceship kit is
just wonderful), wooden toys, party outfits - everything is carefully chosen, tasteful and
just beautiful.

Orientation
Syracuse's main sights are concentrated in two areas: Ortygia, and 2km across town at the
Parco Archeologico della Neapolis. Ortygia, Syracuse's historic centre and most atmo-
spheric neighbourhood, is an island joined to the mainland by a couple of bridges. It is
well signposted and has a useful car park (Parcheggio Talete). If coming by bus, you'll be
dropped off at the bus terminal in front of the train station. From here it's about a 1km
walk to Ortygia - head straight down Corso Umberto. Alternatively, a free shuttle bus
connects the station with Piazza Archimede in Ortygia. Via Roma is Ortygia's main thor-
oughfare.
