Gabbiano has tables laid out on a pretty piazza. Like everywhere on the island, it's
touristy, but it's a scenic spot to chill out over a cool drink, an ice cream cone or a more
substantial afternoon snack.

the corner from the hydrofoil dock.

down from Marina Lunga to Marina Corta, a lush, technicolor fruit display announces the
presence of this traditional greengrocer, piled high with wines, sweets, anis (aniseed) bis-
cuits, pâtés, capers and olive oils. It's an excellent place to find food gifts to bring home -
or simply to stock up on picnic provisions.
Orientation
Hydrofoils and ferries dock at Marina Lunga, one of two ports at Lipari Town; the other,
used by tour boats, is Marina Corta on the other side of the clifftop citadel. The seafront
road circles the entire island, a journey of about 30km.
