Monday to Friday, 15 on Saturday, three on Sunday).
LOCAL BUS
AST buses 4 and 5 run between the train station and port (€1.10, 10 minutes) roughly
once an hour between 6.45am and 7.50pm. Bus 6 runs between the port and Capo Milazzo
(€1.10, 15 minutes) six times daily between 7.50am and 5.10pm. Note that buses above
operate Monday through Saturday only; Sunday and holiday service had been indefinitely
suspended at the time of research. Tickets (valid for two hours) can be bought inside the
train station or at the shop opposite the quayside bus stop with the AST sign.
PARKING
If you want to leave your car here while you island-hop, private garages charge approxim-

street parking (€0.35 per 30 minutes) is also available in spaces marked with blue lines.
TAXI
A taxi from the station to the port will cost approximately €10 to €12.
TRAIN
Regular services travel to Palermo (from €10.40, 2¼ to 3½ hours, 13 daily) and Messina
(€3.45, 25 to 40 minutes, hourly).
