Getting There & Away
BUS
There is a regular AST bus service to/from Trapani (€2.80, 40 minutes to one hour, five
daily Monday to Saturday, three Sunday). All buses arrive and depart from Porta Trapani.
FUNICULAR
The best way to travel between Erice and Trapani is on the funicular (Funivia; 0923 56 93 06;
www.funiviaerice.it ; one way/return €5.50/9; 1-8pm Mon, 8.10am-8pm Tue-Fri, 10am-10pm Sat, 10am-8pm Sun) .
The funicular station in Erice is just below, and across the street from, Porta Trapani. To
reach the funicular from Trapani, catch bus 21 or 23 from Via GB Fardella down to the
end of Via Alessandro Manzoni, which is the point where Trapani ends and Erice begins.
You can walk from downtown Trapani to the funicular station, but it takes around 45
minutes.
PARKING
Parking is available next to Porta Trapani and along Viale Conte Pepoli. There's a ticket
machine adjacent to the main Porta Trapani lot.
