Getting There & Away
Siremar ( 091 749 31 11; www.siremar.it ; Via Francesco Crispi 118) operates a year-round car-ferry
service between Ustica and Palermo (€18.35 one way, 2¼ hours, one daily), with addi-
tional hydrofoils twice daily in the tourist season (€23.55 one way, 1¼ hours). Ustica Lines (
0923 87 38 13; www.usticalines.it ) runs hydrofoils year-round from Palermo to Ustica (€22.95,
1½ hours, two daily in summer, one in winter) and also operates a Naples-Ustica hydro-
foil service on Saturdays from June to the end of September (€80 one way, four hours).
Climbing the hill through Ustica's church square, look for both companies' ticket of-
fices on your left.
Getting Around
A local bus (€1.20) makes regular circuits of the island, leaving every hour or so. In sum-
mertime Bicincittȧ ( 800 75 55 15; www.bicincitta.com ) also provides rental bikes that can be
picked up and dropped off at four sites around the island using an automated credit-card-
based system.
