In-Depth Information
La Ribera
Like Barri Gòtic to the west, La Ribera has narrow cobblestone
streets and medieval architecture galore. Yet it is also home to
high-end shopping, a brilliant Modernista concert hall and a
treasure trove of artwork by Picasso. Great restaurants and a
fanciful green space complete the Ribera ramble.
Museu Picasso ( Click here )
Picasso spent his formative years in Barcelona and you can see his early masterpieces in-
side this inspiring museum, which contains some 3500 of his works. Perhaps just as im-
pressive as the artwork are the galleries themselves - set in a series of merchant houses
dating back to the 1300s.
