You can see a full range of works by one of the giants of the art world at this impressive
museum. Paintings, sculptures and drawings by the prolific Catalan artist are displayed
along with photos and other media elucidating Miró's life. Outside is a peaceful sculpture
garden with views over Poble Sec.

Follow the path through the sculpture gardens east, take the steps up to main road and continue east to the mu-
seum.

Not to be missed is the incomparable collection of artwork inside the enormous Museu
Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. The highlight is the impressive Romanesque collection -
rescued from 900-year-old churches in the Pyrenees. Other halls showcase Catalan works
from the Middle Ages up to the early 20th century. Out front, you can take in the view
over Placa d'Espanya to the distant peak of Tibidabo.
