Eating with Kids
Barcelona - and Spain in general - is super friendly when it comes to eating with children.
Spanish kids tend to eat the Mediterranean offerings enjoyed by their parents, but some res-
taurants have children's menus that serve up burgers, pizzas, tomato-sauce pasta and the
like. Good local - and child-proof - food commonly found on tapas menus is
tortilla de pa-
tatas
(potato omelet) or
croquetas de jamon
(ham croquettes).
Top Kid-Friendly Eateries
FastvĂnic (

)
is a good choice for an off-peak lunch or quick dinner while the
kids entertain themselves drawing on the glass wall. At Le Cucine Mandarosso (

), the incredible food means even the fussiest eaters will surrender - it's best for older kids
since it can feel a bit cramped, but the little ones will be made to feel welcome too.
If you're after something sweet, La Nena (

) is fantastic for chocolate and all
manner of sweet things. There's also a play area and toys and books in a corner. And don't
miss Granja Viader (

). No kid will be left unimpressed - and without a buzz! -
by the thick hot chocolate here.
