This temple of temptation is one of Europe's greatest permanent produce fairs. Restaurant
chefs, homemakers, office workers and tourists all stroll amid the seemingly endless
bounty of glistening fruits and vegetables, gleaming fish counters, dangling rolls of smoked
meats, pyramids of pungent cheeses, barrels full of olives and marinated peppers, and
chocolate truffles and other sweets. A handful of popular tapas bars serve up delectable
morsels so you won't have to walk away empty-handed. There's always a line, but it's well
worth the wait.
