There is something medieval about this bar, with its bare stone walls, forged iron cande-
labra and cushion-covered lounges. This place heaves and, as the night wears on, it's el-
bow room only.

This was one of the first
bars to get things into gear in El Born and it still attracts a faithful crowd. It's a straight-
forward place for a beer, a chat and perhaps a sandwich.

Slide into this dimly lit cocktail bar, which crosses a chilled ambience with
Latin American music. A mix of lounges and intimate table settings, chandeliers and
muted decorative tones lends the place a pleasingly conspiratorial feel.

Although it
sometimes hosts live acts in its sweaty, smoky basement, it's basically a straightforward,
