artisanal cheeses. Mercat de la Boqueria is all this and much more. It's the city's oldest and
most atmospheric market, a noisy melange of history, heritage and street theatre. Not sur-
prisingly, it's also one of the biggest tourist magnets - particularly the enticing row of tapas
counters in the back.
