This French-run facility offers comfortable rooms outfitted with tiled floors, wood fur-
niture and thick towels. The bar, with its huge dome ceiling, is a popular spot in the even-
ings, and the restaurant serves typical Tico fare as well as beautiful French specialties like
mussels Provençal.
Colectivo
(shared) boats to Zancudo leave from the Samoa dock, but
it's also near the Muellecito.

Casa Roland is Golfito's most swish hotel, and primarily caters to duty-free shoppers look-
ing for an amenity-laden base. You can expect to find all the usual top-end standards in-
cluding a swimming pool, restaurants and bars, tennis courts and a health spa, as well as a
few extras such as a movie theatre and casino.

The small, walkable district of the Pueblo Civil has about a dozen

ity. Banana Bay Marina serves the sportfishing set (with gringo prices to match), but is a
great spot to have a beer on the bay and shoot some pool. The restaurant at Samoa del Sur
hotel is also a good standby.
