In-Depth Information
This fair is a chance for local farmers to strut their stuff - and that they do, by taking over
the central square with fresh flowers, fruits of the region and culinary delights. There are
also bullfights and livestock competitions.
Sleeping
Options in San Isidro proper serve as one-night crash pads of varying levels of style and
sophistication, while options outside the town generally have more character and warrant a
longer stay.

Let's put it bluntly: if you're traveling through town, weary and cash-poor, this is the
choice. Popular with discerning budget travelers, this centrally located hotel is a two-
minute stroll from the bus station and filled with bare, whitewashed rooms that are barren
but utterly dirt- and grime-free.
A few flowering plants and a festive mural in the lobby brighten otherwise monastic
surroundings. The larger rooms have air-con and cable TV for a few extra dollars.

This sharp motor court is decked with blooming flowerboxes and climbing vines outside -
indeed a welcome sight to the road-weary traveler. Inside, functional rooms feature mod-
ern furnishings and fixtures, which are made all the better by the attentive staff who keep
this place running efficiently. There's even a cozy onsite restaurant.
