This welcoming roadside inn is owned by a Polish-born US citizen who lives in Costa
Rica - hence the very appropriate moniker,
tres banderas
(three flags). Fourteen doubles
and three suites are spacious affairs with imported tiles and local woods and, while some
could use a bit of air, all come with jungle-facing terraces furnished with leather rocking
chairs.
Dinner is often prepared on an outdoor grill and guests congregate to dine together
around the deep central pool, which lends a communal flourish to the property.
