Formerly the Sámara Travel Center, this extremely helpful place has an internet cafe, and
can book flights and Interbus tickets and arrange tours. It also rents bicycles (per day
US$10) and scooters/motorcycles (per day US$30).
Getting There & Away
The beach lies about 35km southwest of Nicoya on a paved road. No flights were operat-
ing out of the Sámara airport (PLD) at research time.
BUS
Empresa Alfaro has a bus to San José (US$8, five hours) that departs at 4am and 8am. All
buses depart from the main intersection just south of Entre Dos Aguas guesthouse. Buy
your San José bus tickets at the Alfaro office behind Bazar d'Liss on the main intersection
in town.
Traroc buses to Nicoya (US$2.50, one hour) depart hourly from 4am to 6pm from the
pulpería
by the soccer field; there's a more limited schedule on Sunday.
