FT's
COSTA RICAN
Eat + Drink + Surf + Sleep. FT's has got you covered for the first two, serving authentic
grub like chicken and rice, pork chops and fresh fish. Regulars rave about the gigantic
burritos, while ice-cold beers and slushy margaritas go down smooth. Prices are low and
service is all smiles.
If you're worried about the last one, FT's also rents a few cheap, clean
cabinas
on the
beach. The 'Surf' part is up to you.
Nogui's
SEAFOOD
A fish shack with Mediterranean charm, this fabulously romantic, wooden and stained-
glass, tin-roofed gem on the beach flaunts local seafood. Make a dinner reservation, or get
sloshed at the bar with the occasionally rowdy (but not too rowdy) regulars.
La Baula
PIZZA
By far the best pizza in Tamarindo - this casual open-air restaurant has real wood-fired
pizzas, pastas and other Italian fare. It's also one of the most family-friendly restaurants in
town, with a playground to keep the kids entertained.

Dragonfly is a local favorite, not just for its refined menu, but also for its lovely tiki-bar at-
mosphere. The chic open-air dining room has twinkling lights and lanterns, with a subtle
dragonfly motif throughout. The menu has an Asian bent, featuring delights such as
panko-crusted pork loin and Thai-style crispy fish cakes. The desserts are divine.
