On the beach side of the plaza, this recommended hotel offers simple, clean rooms with
wood floors and ceiling fans, lined up along a wide balcony. Sea-view rooms are a little
more, but worth the splurge. Otherwise, the patio's hammocks are ideal for soaking up the
sunset.
Hotel y Restaurante Nany HOTEL

Set well back from the road and shrouded in mango and palm trees, this impressive Tico-
run property offers good value. The spacious rooms, painted in cheerful tropical colors,
face an enticing saltwater pool. The restaurant is also recommended.
Conchal Hotel HOTEL

This bougainvillea- and palm-dappled lodge is a sweet retreat. Spacious rooms are fitted
with unique design touches, such as beamed ceilings and wrought-iron furniture. Enjoy the

scrumptious continental breakfast is served at the Papaya Restaurant (which is also recom-
mended for other meals).

lined up at the self-serve window. It doesn't look like much, but it is. While namesake
