Across a creaky wooden footbridge on the south end of the beach is where you'll find this
hangout, popular among gringos and Ticos alike. They specialize in US-style comfort food
such as burgers, nachos, meat loaf, chili dogs, clam chowder and more. It's also the best
bar in town, with pool tables, live music and good vibes.
Restaurante Donde Claudio y Gloria SEAFOOD

Founded by Playa del Coco pioneers Claudio and Gloria Rojas, this casual, beachfront
seafood restaurant has been a local landmark since 1955. It's a must for seafood-lovers,
with such interesting dishes as spicy mahi in an almond, raisin and white-wine sauce. Be
warned: service can be painfully slow, but the solid jazz soundtrack will keep you buoyant.
Las Olas SEAFOOD

Just north of the cramped commercial vortex on the main road, this is a dressed-up seafood
soda (inexpensive eatery) with tablecloths, bamboo design accents, and recommended
fresh seafood in the kitchen. The lounge area is quite cool, featuring molded concrete
booths and dripping candles, whirling fans and a bubbling fountain.

Set in the Pueblito Sur development about 500m north of the main drag, this is the local
expat choice for wood-fired pizza in Playa del Coco. The restaurant is lovingly set in a
brick courtyard around a gurgling fountain, sprinkled with candlelit tables. It also does a
range of pastas, unique preparations of seafood and traditional grills.
