Perhaps the only proper cafe in Liberia, where you can sit for long hours inside or out,
drinking strong coffee, munching homemade brownies and taking advantage of the free
wi-fi. In addition to burgers, sandwiches and breakfast items, the menu features local spe-
cialties like chifrijos (rice and pinto beans with fried pork, topped with tomato salsa and
corn chips) and tamales, and of course refreshing fresh fruit juices. This place is a local fa-
vorite.

A great little find for fans of casados . This local diner serves seven daily, featuring fresh
pescado (fish), pollo (chicken), steak, lamb and more. Relax around wooden tables in the
cool, dark-tiled dining room.

This beautifully restored colonial building has heavy wooden furniture and frescoed ceil-
ings, creating a romantic ambience for rich coffee and gourmet fare. Simple food is taken
to new levels: ceviche (seafood marinated in lemon or lime juice, garlic and seasonings) is
served with irresistible, warm, fresh-baked tortilla chips. It's also an atmospheric setting
for live music and other occasional performances.
