dams, or if an existing dam is to be raised, some cement grouting infill may be required
beneath the top of the already placed slab. The fill above may cause a localised void to
open up behind the top of the slab.

15.5.1
Use of dirty rockfill
When the available rockfill breaks down under compaction to form a rockfill with a large
