Installation
In this chapter, we will discuss the installation process for Oracle Fusion Applications.
Oracle Fusion Applications is built on multiple Oracle Fusion Middleware components,
and hence there is a well-defined sequence of steps required for the installation. In
the following sections, we will review the installation chronology.

Installation process flow
The application installation has tasks to be performed at the database, security, and
application levels. Tasks that need to be performed at each of these layers are se-
quenced, requiring careful planning and coordination. The following diagram of the
process flow outlines the tasks to be performed by each of these areas. It provides a
logical flow for the sequence of activities that will be performed during the installation
process.
