Summary
In this chapter we reviewed the administration and maintenance aspects of Oracle Fu-
sion Applications. The basics of starting and stopping the application were discussed,
along with the use of the
fastartstop
utility.
Details of backup and recovery along with various options and approaches were also
discussed. All the components involved in the backup and recovery process were re-
viewed. We also looked at the Component Catalog to ensure that the specifications
of an installation were captured.
An in-depth review of patching Oracle Fusion Applications was carried out. This in-
cluded the patching process as well as pre- and post-patching steps. Finally, the ex-
tension of Oracle Fusion Applications and the options available were discussed.
