In-Depth Information
of both hands touching and in obvious motion, the Buddha signifies the wheel of life and
existence.
And the most solemn and revered of all is the Buddha lying full length. Sometimes
the head rests on folded hands; sometimes the head is slightly raised, resting on a crooked
elbow and upturned palm. This is the Buddha slipping away from existence, preparing to
achieve Nirvana.
