CONTINUATION OF THE PROJECT
A Vision Fund Grant for Innovative Instruction from Syracuse University provided
funding for the design, development, and initial implementation of this course. The focus of
this first effort was on a collaborative framework for course development.
To build on initial efforts for further elaboration of both master's curricula, the Schools
of Information Studies and Education will continue to collaborate on courses and projects
of mutual need and interest. Both schools strongly support this project and will contribute
resources to its continuation. The final project report will include recommendations for
expanded collaboration between the two schools and the development of a model based on
lessons learned in order to create meaningful ways to foster interdisciplinary collaboration
among academic units campus-wide.
