It is worth noting that while BACnet makes multi-vendor installations pos-
sible, it in no way requires the use of multiple suppliers. Since many vendors
will probably choose, and some have already chosen, to use BACnet as their
'native' protocol, you could easily end up with a single-vendor BACnet sys-
tem. Table 5.2 lists all of the services and shows how they are grouped.
